1) Are These Kits? |

Main Street Collection Your playhouse will come as 10 to 20 pre-fabricated panels which fasten together. Panels are already painted, shingled, doors and windows hung. Assembly takes two people 4-8 hrs, depending on the model. No carpentry experience is necessary. You may choose to assemble the playhouse yourself, contract with your own handyman, or arrange installation through an authorized dealer. |
Picket Fence Collection Your playhouse will come packaged in 5-6 boxes. There are 80 to 90 total parts. Wall panels are made of white cellular PVC that does not require painting; however, you may paint the panels if you choose. Assembly takes 12-24 man hours. Windows, doors, trim and roofing will also require installation. Carpentry/construction experience is helpful, but not necessary. You may choose to assemble the playhouse yourself, contract with your own handyman, or arrange installation through an authorized dealer. |

2) What Kind of Foundation is Necessary? |

Main Street Collection Your playhouse comes with a wooden base similar to that of a house deck. It is constructed of a 2x4 frame with decking. The base should be set on small concrete pads or stepping stones (not provided, but available at most home building centers). One pad/stone is needed for each corner. A small percentage of customers pour a concrete pad as a foundation. This step is not necessary, but does provide a more permanent installation. |

3) How Long Until I Can Receive My Playhouse? |

Main Street Collection Lead time varies with the season and the playhouse model. Generally processing requires 3- 4 weeks plus shipping. The months of May, June and July, as well as the holiday season, may require additional time. If a specific date is requested which is earlier than the specified lead time, please check with Lilliput. We can sometimes accommodate rush orders. |

4) What Are The Recommended Ages? |

5) Can I Change The Paint Colors On My Playhouse? |

Main Street Collection Standard paint colors are as presented in the Lilliput Play Homes website. Colors may be substituted between playhouse models at no additional charge. Playhouses are painted in the two or three color scheme shown. Interior walls are painted the same color as the exterior siding. Selection of any color other than those shown on the website/catalog constitutes a custom color charge. A chart of available colors can be obtained from your Lilliput Play Homes representative. If you prefer to choose your own paint colors, Lilliput Play Homes is happy to match any major paint manufacturer’s colors. |
Picket Fence Collection All playhouse colors are as shown on the website. Interior and exterior walls are white. They will never need painting, but you may paint them if you choose. Shutters, roofing, and other amenities are as shown. |

6) Can The Size of my Playhouse Be Increased? |

Main Street Collection The size of all playhouses can be increased. However, because of construction, shipping and installation limitations, we prefer not to build any panel over 8’ long. A typical base increase would alter a standard 8’ x 6’ house by increasing it to 8’x 8’ (adding 16 square feet). Additional size requirements could be met by adding a “wing” (similar to the floor plan of the Cotton Candy Manor). To determine costs, please consult a Lilliput representative. |

8) Is My Playhouse Waterproof? |

Main Street Collection When assembled properly, your playhouse will not leak. However the doors are not completely watertight and a wind-driven rain may bring a trickle of water into the house. |

9) What Kind of Maintenance Is Needed? |

Main Street Collection Lilliput Play Homes recommends cleaning all surfaces one to two times per year with a mild detergent and/or bleach (to kill mildew) solution. The house will require repainting in approximately 5-7 years, depending on climate. |

10) Can Electricity Be Added? |

Main Street Collection Your playhouse can be pre-wired in our shop, but, due to different codes and requirements across the country, a registered electrician is recommended for final installation. |

12) Does My Playhouse Require A Building Permit? |

Main Street Collection All municipalities have different ordinances regarding backyard structures. Because the playhouses are not anchored to the ground and can be disassembled and moved at any time, most municipalities view the playhouses as a temporary structure not requiring a building permit. However, we recommend checking with your local building inspector and homeowner’s association before installation. |

13) How Is My Playhouse Shipped? |

Main Street Collection Your playhouse will be wrapped and packaged on a large A-frame pallet/crate. It will arrive on a truck with a lift gate. Offloading of the pallet/crate is the responsibility of the customer. Two to three people may be required to assist in offloading the playhouse. |

WARRANTY: Our concern for building a quality playhouse is backed by our warranty. We warrant our homes for a period of one year from the date of purchase to repair or replace, at our option, any part defective in materials or workmanship. This warranty specifically excludes any labor incurred for replacement. We disclaim liability for any customer alterations, repairs or assembly, normal wear and tear, or damages resulting from misuse or abuse. The purchaser is responsible for choosing a structure appropriate for the developmental levels of the children who will use it. Routine inspections, preventive maintenance and play supervision are the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure a hazard free play environment. This warranty excludes any incidental and consequential damages so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. We reserve the right to improve, alter, or discontinue specifications and designs without notice.
